This is an old Dropbox tip, but a great one. If you have an .edu account (or access to one) you can connect your existing Dropbox account with your .edu e-mail address and double the space you get from referrals from 250MB to 500MB.
It’s that easy. You won’t have to change your account. Just link your .edu account and get some free Dropbox space.
So how does it work?
Head over to Dropbox.edu, enter your credentials, and then enter your .edu e-mail address.
Dropbox will then send your .edu account an e-mail and all you need to do is click the link.

Associating your .edu account will not change your username and password. It will, however, retroactively give you credit for the referrals you’ve already accrued. That means if you had 10 referrals worth 2.5 GB, those same referrals will be worth 5GB once you link your .edu address.
You’re welcome.
If you try this out, or if you have any questions, share your comments below or send me an e-mail at me@y2kemo.com. BTW, I’ve maxed out on referrals so if you want to drop yours into the comments below feel free to do so.
