Although I moved from the Windy City many years ago, I am a Chicagoan. I watched baseball games at Comiskey Park before it got “Old.” I watched the ’85 Bears shuffle their way passed the New England Patriots to put an exclamation point on one of the most exciting seasons in NFL history. I know the Empire carpet jingle. And I have eaten so many Chicago hot dogs that I have sport peppers running through my veins.
It is only fitting that this fall I am returning home to run one of the best marathons in the world, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
