My dad had two Lionel trains: a 1666e and 1666. On a recent trip home I packed up the 1666e, brought it back home with me, and eventually took it to a local train shop to get restored.
For a few Hamiltons I got the locomotive, tender, and transformer up and running. For another $20 I got the track and pins needed to get a decent sized oval.
The only thing left to do was set up the track, tack on a couple other cars, add my son to the mix, and throw the switch.









Each year for the past six years I’ve been Googling “wedding anniversary gift guide by year” and each year I have to wade through a fillion websites to find the list. Not any more.
