Jetpack is a powerful WordPress plugin with a Swiss Army Knife set of features. Its latest release added Publicize which provides a means to connect a WordPress site to popular social networks and automatically share new posts with friends and followers via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Yahoo!, ann Linkedin. Whoa! Awesome. There’s just one problem. Jetpack screws up your Open Graph data.
Some folks, like me, use a plugin like Yoast’s WordPress SEO to manage Open Graph data, while others enter the data manually. With the latest version of Jetpack installed, the og info generated by Jetpack causes posts’ metadata to be incorrectly displayed. And since there is no way to disable Jetpack’s implementation of Open Graph data you’ll have to do it yourself. Lucky for you, I have the solution.
