I’ve come across Twitter apps like Yes That Can Be My Next Tweet. And, I’ve mentioned using tag clouds to read your e-mail. Now I’m going to combine both with TweetCloud.
TweetCloud has been around, but not too many people know about it. Basically it attempts to show Tweople what’s trending across Twitter by keyword or what a specific user tweets most. Hit up the site, enter a keyword or username, and you’ll see something like this:
The other day, and to the dismay of 300 gazillion people who gave reason why the two should not be wed, Microsoft and Skype tied the knot. This really shouldn’t come as a surprise though. When Skype hit the dating scene (at the behest of their investors Silver Lake and eBay) they attracted a few courters in Google and Apple, but neither was able to beat out Microsoft’s $8.5 billion offer.
Back in March, Stephen Colbert auctioned a self-portrait and raised $26K for needy students. To raise more money he took it to the next level and announced on The Colbert Report that his BFFFSM (Best Friend Forever For Six Months) Jimmy Fallon would match his donation. Only problem was Fallon never agreed. So, Fallon pulled a Colbert and announced on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that if his audience could raise the $26K Colbert would sing Rebecca Black’s “Friday” with The Roots (Fallon’s in-house band).
