The folks over at Infolinks are crazy about AMC’s retro series Mad Men, which chronicles the lives of advertising men in New York during the 1960s. In homage to Mad Me Infolinks artists created an Infographic featuring Mad Men characters and their interpretation of how the Mad Men (and women) would interact with the Modern Tech World.

WordPress Hotfix Plugin FTW!

When WordPress 3.3 was released there were some issues with plugins bleeding into my dashboard. I searched for answers in the forums and got the usual “Deactivate your plugins, your theme, your blog, etc.” Not helpful. Then I came across the Hotfix plugin.

Over the years I’ve done plenty of searches like you probably did to get here, and I’ve tried out hundreds of recommended plugins. Very few have stuck around. In fact, my list of active plugins is a mere 31. Do I use all of them all of the time? No. But I’ve grown fond of some over the years.
While the below plugins aren’t my top WordPress plugins of the year, they certainly make my short list of honorable mentions. So whether you’re just getting started, or you’ve been around for a while you should take a look before you get on with your life.

I find it somewhat fitting that I’m writing about WordPress plugins for my 400th post. Though I started out on Blogger, I switched to the self-hosted version of WordPress to take advantage of the thousands of available plugins. If you visit the WordPress plugin directory you’ll see what I mean. Go ahead, think of a feature you’d like to add to you site, and search for it. More than likely, you’ll find a plugin that does what you’re looking to do.
